The choice of three different plated four course meals, 3 hours of open bar, FVOA awards ceremony and 2 hours of Hypnotist Paul Knight “LIVE” before our very eyes. The banquet is being held on Friday October 11th 2013 at the Millrose Restaurant Banquets & Country Store in South Barrington. Due to space limitations. seating will be limited to the first 120 registrations. All adavance registrations must be received no later than October 4, 2013. If the banquet is not sold out prior to the registration date, walk-ins registrations will be welcome at a additional cost per person. Class #1 & #2 Review Session: Date Change !!!

The FVOA will be hosting its’ annual Class #1 & #2 review session on May 13th & 14th 2013 at the City of Crystal Lake. Attendees will receive 12 hours of material review along with coffee, doughnuts and lunch both days. The cost for FVOA members is $50.00 each. A special IEPA examination has been set up for the afternoon of May 14th in the Crystal Lake training room. ALL students intending on sitting for this exam location, must register with the IEPA prior to May 1, 2013. Notify them that you want to register for the “Special Exam” at the City of Crystal Lake on May 14, 2013.

NEW THIS YEAR: All attendees will receive a course synopsis prior to attending the review class. Once a student’s registration has been received with payment, an FVOA committee member will e-mail a copy of the synopsis to that student. A follow-up phone call will also be made to insure each student receives the synopsis prior to attending the review class. This will allow students to study and review the class material prior to sitting through the review class itself. It should also allow students to be more prepared prior to both the review class and either examination. The earlier you get your registration in, the earlier an FVOA committee member will forward you the review class synopsis. 2007 Gardner Denver Centrifugal Blower “For Sale”

The Village of Mundelein is upgrading to a new Turbo blower. Because of this, they are looking to sell their existing 2007 2500CFM Gardner Denver centrifugal blower. The blower is equipped with a 200HP Toshiba motor and pedestal. The blower is in good condition and has been maintained per the manufactures specifications since it was installed. Upcoming FVOA Operator Training Opportunities

May 13th & 14th 2013 (City of Crystal Lake): FVOA Class #1 & #2 Review Session. This is a two day review session where attendees will cover test material along with a 4-hour math review. Attendees are expected to have studied and be prepared to take the examination prior to attending the review session.

Additional Training Opportunities: Dates, locations and registrations to be announced soon !!! Check back often.

A) Basic PLC Training: This will be a 5-hour class that will be limited to the first 15 students registered. If there is a high demand, a second basic class will added.

B) Advanced PLC Training: This will be a 5-hour class that will be limited to the first 15 students registered. If there is a high demand, a second basic class will added.

C) Confined Space & Certification: We will again be offering confined space training to the FVOA membership. We will be holding two of these classes throughout the year. One will be held in the Northern suburbs and the second one will be down South.

2013 FVOA Membership Renewal is now Open

It’s that time again to renew your annual memberships to the Fox Valley Operators Association. Your yearly membership dues help to support the FVOA and the numerous education opportunities throughout the year. In addition, keeping your memberships current help to keep you informed with a copy of the FVOA monthly newsletter and random e-mail blasts that are sent out with updates and current events. The past few years the membership renewal rate has been right around 80% of the membership. Together, lets try to increase the renewal percentage up around 90% in 2013. If you have any question about individual or municipal renewal, please contact one of the officer’s via e-mail. Their contact information can be found on the homepage of the FVOA web site.
