As I come to the end of my 3 year FVOA commitment, I wanted to take a minute to thank each and everyone of you. It’s mind blowing how fast my service to the FVOA came and went. I was fortunate enough to be able to meet many new friends and make countless industry contacts. At the start of my FVOA service, I was to finish my wastewater career with 37 years of service with the Village of Cary as a Chief Wastewater Plant Operator. The October FVOA monthly meeting is the meeting we have all been waiting for. It will be held at MWRD in Hodgkins, Illinois. The meeting will start at promptly 10AM. The tour of the pumping station will start at 10:30AM. We will have a short business meeting at 10AM and then tour the deep tunnel pumping station in groups of 20. The deadline for your release to be turned in was September 20, 2013. If you did not turn a release in prior to that date, you will be unable to take the tour. The FVOA will provide lunch to everyone in attendance. We have 87 people registered for the tour. At the start of the meeting, each person will pick a number out of a hat. The FVOA and its officers have gone to great lengths to insure the good name of the FVOA and its association owned lap-top computers and web site are free from any and all inappropriate content. This also included anti-virus protection and any other software that has the potential to cause issues with any or all of the above. A) Basic PLC Training: This will be a 5-hour class that will be limited to the first 15 students registered. If there is a high demand, a second basic class will added.
B) Advanced PLC Training: This will be a 5-hour class that will be limited to the first 15 students registered. If there is a high demand, a second basic class will added.
C) Laboratory Seminar: February & April 2014. Theses seminars are in the process of being planned. Please check back often for more information.
